Timberline Half Marathon Run and Walk

Sunday, September 20, 2009             Timothy Lake, Oregon

Registration is closed.

Get ready for the most picturesque half marathon course in the Pacific Northwest! The Timberline Half Marathon completely circles shimmering Timothy Lake on single track trails that are absolutely a runner's dream. This gem is nestled at 3,000 feet in the high Cascades and the views of Mt. Hood across the lake are extraordinary.

Runner's traverse three rustic bridges over sparkling tributaries that feed the deep blue waters of the lake. The course is full of small elevation changes and twists and turns making it very interesting and challenging. Every finisher gets a custom medal and commemorative race T-shirt. The Timberline Half Marathon is a must for any half marathoner's calendar!

Be sure to pre-register for a rejuvenating post-race massage! Details are at the bottom of this page.

2009 course change - we are reversing the direction participants travel around the lake to counter-clockwise. This will place all aid stations on the last half of the course and also decrease the total elevation gain from previous years.

All slots for the Timberline Half Marathon on Sunday, September 20th are FULL. There is no waiting list.

NEW!
We have opened 150 half marathon slots on Saturday, September 19th to be run with the marathon. If you register on or after August 19, 2009 using the online or mail-in buttons below you will automatically be entered in the Saturday half marathon.......not the Sunday event. The marathon on Saturday starts at 8:30AM and the half marathon will start at 9:00AM. There are no awards for the Saturday half marathon. You will still get an event T-shirt and finisher medal.

If you are already registered you may not switch from the Sunday half marathon to the Saturday half marathon.
